When you think about focusing, you think “Well, focusing is saying YES.No! Focusing is about saying NO.

Steve Jobs

When you say YES to something, you are saying NO to everything else!

But when you say NO to something, you are saying YES to a World of possibilities!

Decide your priorities and focus on what is really important to you: say YES to your growth, by saying NO to anyone or anything that could interfere with it.

Isolate: create your safe environment, away from potential human interferences, such as closing your office door and putting up the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign.

Minimise: minimise digital distractions during your time block. Block all notifications on your computer, close unnecessary tabs/apps, set your mobile phone on Airplane mode or, even better, leave it in another room.

Energy: make sure to use your energy for your most important thing at that moment in time… don’t waste it on distractions!

Remember:

trying to please everybody is a recipe for FAILURE

you can say NO in a way that pleases you and the recipient

saying NO gives you the freedom to say YES to what really matters

The art of saying YES is, by default, the art of saying NO. Saying YES to everyone is the same as saying YES TO NOTHING!!
